libf2c2 software package provides Shared libraries for use with FORTRAN applications, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libf2c2
libf2c2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libf2c2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libf2c2 *
You will get with libf2c2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
